The National Academies licenses gomembers' Q association management
software
[Oak Brook, IL] gomembers, Inc. announces The National Academies
(http://www.nationalacademies.org/)
has selected Q®, the latest association management solution
(AMS) offered by gomembers®.
Established in 1863 by President Abraham Lincoln, The National
Academies includes: The National Academy of Sciences, The National
Academy of Engineering, The Institute of Medicine and The National
Research Council, with over 5,800 members and foreign associates
and over 1,000 employees. Their overall mission is to bring "together
committees of experts in all areas of scientific and technological
endeavor. These experts serve pro bono to address critical national
issues and give advice to the federal government and the public."
"gomembers is honored and proud to partner with National
Academies," said Paul Plaia III, gomembers CEO and President.
"The National Academies is one of the most influential and
innovative leaders in the market today. Their technological knowledge
and vision is unprecedented. Their selection of Q confirms gomembers
as the technology leader in the association market."
The National Academies' selection process for new association
management software began in October 2006. In 2007 they had an expansive
and thorough review of approximately 30 vendors, eventually narrowing
the search to two candidates. On the final decision, the Presidents
of The National Academies, through a collegiate decision making
process, approved the implementation of gomembers' Q solution.
"We look forward to partnering with gomembers and the implementation
of Q," said Leonard Kim, The National Academies Chief Information
Officer.
