FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The National AMS Users’ Group (NAUG) annual conference in Washington DC was “Better Together” for the users and gomembers
[Oak Brook, IL] From October 21-22, the National AMS Users’ Group (NAUG) and gomembers® came together in Washington D.C. for their 13th annual conference.
On Monday morning, the conference kicked off with ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership Chief Technology Officer Reggie Henry discussing what the latest technology trends are in associations, as well as overall societal trends and how they affect the technologies we use.
“gomembers’ staff and AMS users were able to gather valuable information from Reggie Henry’s presentation, and he provided all of us with valuable insight with the technology challenges that association executives are facing today” stated Jay Barrett, gomembers Chief Operating Officer.
Continuing the in-depth discussion of technology, gomembers’ staff presented various sessions including: Working with your Q® Toolkit, Web Services, QRS and BI and Microsoft Dynamics. The attendees also had the opportunity to participate in AMS module roundtables, where they discussed specific topics with gomembers’ technical staff and other users.
“The 13th annual conference was a great environment for learning, collaboration and networking and the debut of Q 3.1 was enthusiastically received by the users,” said Paul Plaia III, gomembers CEO and President.
The first day ended with an expansive presentation by Paul Plaia III, gomembers CEO and President, including a gomembers business update, pointing to many recent “key wins inside the beltway”, as well as a glimpse of the new look and feel and navigation updates to gomembers newest Q version 3.1, which also includes a long list of functional enhancements. The presentation concluded with the unveiling of gomembers’ new Customer Service Portal, where customers can securely log into a customer service driven web site in order to enhance communication, collaboration, product knowledge and support. After Mr. Plaia’s presentation, the attendees moved onto dinner and dancing, while overlooking the beautiful Washington D.C. skyline.
The second day of the conference offered two sessions concurrently: gomembers’ staff continued to discuss specific topics on Q®, while a gomembers’ trainer helped answer questions users had on the product in a separate track. The conference ended with an open discussion of the users’ development ideas for future releases of Q. As always, the valuable user feedback will be evaluated for 2009 development of gomembers’ Q solutions.
Overall, the conference’s success is attributed to the users and gomembers’ staff collaborating on a range of topics. Next year’s conference will be held on Michigan Avenue, in downtown Chicago, IL and will be extended to three days, with the first day consisting of a full day of free training sessions.
